You Say Wait

You said trust me
you wanted me to need you
I knew better but slowly moved forward
I wondered, could you be trustworthy

Trustworthy enough for me!

I feel I may have been lead astray
but you said you needed to be needed
Maybe you were not talking about from me
I may have misunderstood you somehow

I am sorry!

I thought I was following your lead
don’t you want us to succeed?
Have you ever truthfully been there for anyone but yourself
Do you know how to be there for a woman who knows herself

I am a real woman!

Do you want me to disappear right out of sight?
Do you remember holding me in the past at night?
You opened up the side of me that needs
and I began again with a man to proceed

But it was premature!

But you say wait!
Things will be better later!

Have I made you wait?
I need the giving to be equal
I also need to be needed wanted…

I love writing everything from poetry to thoughts about life ! Some old and new words to share. I am not religious but spiritual referring to God in my work!
