Short Rhyming Story Written by Vivian Ennis 02/24/1990
There once was a man he was as rich as could be,
every night after work he went home alone and watched TV.
This man never had a true friend,
no one to be there to the end.
In the past he had company every weekend
and partied as if the night did not end.
Once he was married to a beautiful wife,
but she only brought lies, deception and strife.
Looks were not enough and neither were fake friends,
so he pushed everyone out thinking he would be alone till the end.
He wanted friends but did not have any trust,
becoming obsessed with only money and lust.
This lust would only last a while you see,
realizing he was no longer young, wild and free.
Then one day on his way home from work,
he bumped into a bum and said, Hey! Watch out you jerk!
The bum said you watch out, you fool!
don’t you see me sitting here on this step stool?
The rich man then said, pardon me!
I was walking by you and I did not see.
