A Poem about Domestic violence
Written by Vivian Ennis 11/02/01

Run, run oh so fast

He will get you at last

Run you see

Running from me

Where to turn

Need to discern

Expressions out loud

Lost in a crowd

Wrenching pain

Beating hard the brain

Pounding your flesh with fist

Not desire at best

Run from him

From Donnie’s sin

This poem is about domestic violence physical harm that I broke away from over 38 yrs ago. If you are in any domestic violence please call the crisis hot line never let anyone harm you. When you let someone hit you they will escalate to a more dangerous level. Reach out and let someone know what is happening to you that will be the first way to stop what may be happening to you. You can live without them even if you think you cannot. Its gets easier the longer you are away from the suppression.

I love writing everything from poetry to thoughts about life ! Some old and new words to share. I am not religious but spiritual referring to God in my work!
