A Poem Written By Vivian Ennis 08/27/2000
I listen to the sounds of the trees
Through the wonderful cool breeze
I remember a time across the land
I thought the whole world was in my hand
When love and freedom were so true
Never feeling a reason to be blue
I remember as I sit here tonight
The smell of the air so crisp outside
In the air the smell of wood burning
I begin to feel a deep yearning
To be young and to be free
That is the way I would like to be
Without one single little care
Not having to be anywhere
But in the moment where I stand
To feel the love of Natures hand
Feeling so absolutely free
Just being able to be me
Being young again so true
Starting over as in my youth
With fantasy of how my life could have been
Remembering this is not the end
But life seem to have its own path
Where I sit tonight is where I am at
