Older Sister

Sister you are so special to me
God put you first in our family
for your love and caring held us together
protecting us in the stormy weather
I know at times when you are alone
Looking back at our times when we were at home
thinking about how hard you tried
as you gave the love you did provide
Just know you are so dear to me
as I go through this life sometimes painfully
When I think of the love you shared
and how you showed how much you cared
All the things that you taught me
I will never forget they set me free
I learned a lot from you
that helps me daily to get through
You should feel so good
about our childhood
No one could replace the love that we shared
and please know that I always cared

I wrote this about my oldest sister a very long time ago. My oldest sister taught me a lot about how to love others without prejudice. She always taught me to love everyone equally. She has a heart of Gold and was there for me my whole life. I love my sister Marie and learned so much more from her then she will ever realize.
