My Final Destination

A Poem Written by Vivian Ennis 06/25/03

How sad that in this life
humans create so much unneeded strife

Thinking false thoughts in their minds
when others who love them are trying to be kind

Misconceptions everyday
is not a very healthy way

But with God’s love all around
heaven on earth can be found

None of us are perfect here
as we try to live year after year

Sharing ourselves in a way
that would have others in our life stay

But sometimes we must move along
singing our own solitary song

A destination a place to grow
letting all false misconceptions go

No one here is to blame
blaming is an avoidance game

An avoidance of what really counts in life
and that would be to let go of strife

Now choosing to be single
not expected anymore to mingle

Living each day in peace while living alone
for peace is what makes my house a home

So my final destination you see
has now set my spirit free
