Lost Man’s Road

A Poem Written by Vivian Ennis 04/12/2002

Don’t walk down the lost mans road of sorrow, pain, despair and grief

Where dreams will scare you in the night, as you lie in bed to sleep

Do you realize what you think about, will be the dreams you have

They will fester in your mind at night leaving you glad, mad or sad

Anger is not a way to arrive at any grand entrance of truth

To truly stand out in this life, is to love like we did in our youth

Don’t forget the pain you have, someone else has felt

And remember what you do to others, will be the same hand you are dealt

For in this life of comfort, we seem to suffer allot

The road to peace within us, is the only road we got

And what we fill our minds with, will give us joy or regret

And determine how we treat others, upon life’s journey we have met

Self-love must come first, for us to truly not hurt another

And all of that self-love begins its teaching from our sisters, brothers, father and mother
