A Love Poem written by Vivian Ennis 08/28/2000
When I look at you, I feel sort of blue
You don’t yet know me, this much is true
Wishing I would approach you, removing all my pride
No longer feeling the need to hide
Spreading my wings to soar again
But you are not yet a new friend
When watching you I feel your need
To love life and have it truly succeed
I can hear the things that you long for inside
knowing to have you, I would need to break down my pride
Somehow I know in my heart I have the love, you are searching for
But I don't think you really want to open up this door
A flood of love you say you want, would then come pouring in
All the things that you desire would have a chance to begin
I heard you say you want a person, who could love you for who you are
One who would share all the nights with you, staring out at the stars
Wishing on the stars so very bright
Love would continue beyond that night
But as you see love come your way
I don't even think that you, would let it stay
Because so very deep inside
You also have some silly kind of pride
Because my love has already begun
If I share how I feel you might just run
