I cry out to you at night in my dreams
With feelings of doubt and faint longing screams
Are you someone I seek
When I’m dreaming of you in my restless sleep

Do you really exist, is this in my head
Maybe you are not real, I begin to dread
I hear your voice whisper in my ear
crying out to me, oh my dear

My dream turns to fantasy in my awakened mind
Imagining that you are here and so kind
Fantasies becomes so real
This may be more than just a dream I feel

I wonder will I ever know you
Or will I have to let this fantasy go too
Holding onto this deep desire inside
To be loved and cared for beyond all pride

I desire you to really be here
But I know I’m just dreaming my dear
I still wonder, can our love really exist
If not then why do I feel this
