Alone Not Just For The Holidays

A Poem Written by Vivian Ennis 12/19/18

I am not willing to settle
Rather stay alone

Meeting someone now a days is very hard
I just hang out with myself at home

It’s safer that way I tell myself
And the days keep getting longer

The nights are not so easy either
alone by the fire

My age is drawing on me fast
I don't know where to turn

I have everything to share
But alone is what I have learned
