A dialogue Poem Written by Vivian Ennis 05/01/2008
I want to share something with you!
Now!
I have eagerly awaited to just share.
To hear my voice as I make my own decisions, allowing you to be a sounding board for me to bounce off of.
I need to know I am still alive and not just in my own head.
Talking to you lets me know, I am here still.
Wait!
But wait, you think I want your opinion and approval, I just want the ear of a friend, someone close to share with, a true listener to hear me.
Are you not comfortable with what I have to say?
What about you is not comfortable with what I want to share about me?
You have your own thoughts about me, they are not mine and they are not what I sought after, when reaching out to you.
Do I really want to hear them?
Hear me again!
Please just listen; this has nothing to do with you!
When you give your opinion, is it coming from a place of your own self love and approval,or a dark space of your mind that wants to punish me, for what you think you need punishing for as well?
